Experience
I raised 4 kids who are now in their 20s. My late husband died in 2019 after a too-short, 2-year battle with cancer. In 2024 friends needed help when both their rotating live-in caregivers had family emergencies, so I stepped in for a couple of months and really liked it. I started training later that year and got my certification. Since then I've helped a variety of clients with companion care, errands, rides to medical appointments, meals, and laundry. Caregiving seems to use the same muscles as mothering — keeping people safe, fed, clean, and lots of problem solving. I have helped clients at end of life and been with a couple when they took their last breath.
Special Interests
I am a responsible caregiver by nature — I started babysitting at 12, was a nanny in my 20s, raised my own 4 children, and now I'm a caregiver for the other end of the age spectrum. I am patient, loving, loyal and kind. I am comfortable with end-of-life issues and even death.
