How It Works
How It Works
Since we do not at present have set hours you'll need to call us at: (206) 473-8715 or email us at carecloset@vashoncarenetwork.org to let us know what you are looking for (see partial lists below, here and here) and when you need it.
Whether emailing or phoning please let us know your name and telephone number and the name and telephone number of the person who will be using the equipment if that is not you. The user will need to sign a liability waiver which can be downloaded here, or we will provide one with the items you pick up. A Care Closet customer will only have to fill out and sign this waiver once to borrow equipment between now and the future.

If you are requesting crutches, please let us know the height of the user.

If requesting a wheelchair, please tell us the approximate weight of the user and whether you need a chair that must be pushed by an attendant or one that can be propelled by themselves.

If ordering a boot, we need to know the shoe size.
The Care Closet will contact you and arrange for a pickup within 1 or 2 days, Monday through Friday. If you have a need for the items right away (even on the weekend) please let us know. Your requested items will be left outside between the two small barns at the Lutheran Church, 18623 Vashon Hwy. SW. You can pick up at your convenience. All equipment is on loan to you for a two week period, but you can make arrangements for a longer loan period if needed. Thank you!
Finding the Care Closet
Located at 18623 Vashon Hwy SW, the Lutheran Church has generously allowed VCN to build two barns to house Care Closet equipment and supplies. Your requested items will be left in the breezeway between the two gray barns.
Click "Directions" in the insert to connect to Google Maps to get and print directions to the Care Closet from your own location.
